Very cute home! We have actually been looking into that builder. While I understand some people are over the farmhouse look, I do believe it is an affordable way to decorate, especially the younger generation who seem to have a “simpler times” movement going on, which I think is refreshing! I’m not a fan of the brick backsplash either….actually would have preferred a subway tile. I look back now at pictures of my Tuscan and French Country style and cringe. I guess I prefer this style more for its simplicity because I am not much on “fancy”. To each her own!

I like more color in a house than what farmhouse seems to have. I do like some of the trim and details of farmhouse. If someone want s to give me a farmhouse I would take it.

Do you know anything about the flooring? I could not tell if is was real wood, laminate or wood-look tile.

I feel the same way about the brick tile. I think brick with more texture would look better. It’s a beautiful home and I do love all the black. It definitely has a masculine feel to it. As always, I love when you share house tours. Have a great week!, Jenny!

Another one over the whole farmhouse trend. I see so many cookie cutter suburban houses decorated with a farmhouse theme and I don’t get the appeal. Having spent many summers on my grandparent’s farm, I can tell you, their house looked nothing like what Hobby Lobby wants you to believe, lol. While very pretty, I feel like this house would have been fresh and exciting maybe five years ago. Now, it’s kind of been there, done that. Seen it all in blogland.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is sick of the farmhouse look. Especially when things announce that they’re farmhouse. I was in Hobby Lobby this weekend and EVERYTHING said farm house, farm, farm fresh etc on it.

I loved the powder room with the dark walls and patterned tile!
