For as long as your weed-banishing ideas are safe to use, then stick to it. I don’t have any tricks in particular, but I do love to remove those weeds in my lawn manually or with the use of a machine. That fabric is definitely worth a try. I feel lucky enough to see this stuff that you’ve shared! Keep those good information coming! =)

It’s nice to know you’ve found the perfect solution to prevent the invasion of weeds in your garden. I know it can be a great pain, especially since its presence limits your landscape upgrades. Another thing is they take some of the nutrients that were intended for your plants. You definitely have a better yard setting now. 🙂

Great job! In some areas it makes so much sense to put the weed block in, especially near the rose bushes. It looks so nice!

We fight bindweed here and I swear the roots are never ending.

I have never used landscape fabric and will give it a try in a new bed I just created after reading about it here! I have had luck with Preen, a product that you sprinkle in your gardens to prevent weeds, but the fabric sounds like a great way to go!

I have a weed or flower bed to deal with as well. I have been spending so much time in the front yard garden this spring the back yard bed have become more weeds than flowers. I normally used a fabric landscaping produce like you did around any shrubs and perrineals and newspaper around annuals.

I'm with Kat – newspapers! We don't do it every year though – just once – then every year we add a new layer of mulch on top and we rarely have weeds. Free and easy!
