Is everyone ready for Mother’s Day?  My husband and I will be in Indianapolis this weekend, running a half-marathon (although when we signed up, we didn’t realize the race was on Mother’s Day weekend!).   So, since I need to not procrastinate plan ahead, I have decided to do something a little different this year.  Yes, I probably will get my mom a pretty outdoor planter, since that has kind of become the “tradition”, but I wanted to do something a little different this year as well.  A Mother’s Day Memory Jar. This idea stemmed from something that was inspired by PK at Room Remix for Christmas.  (I would link to her blog, but she decided to stop blogging – oh, how I miss her!).  I made this Countdown to Christmas jar for the kids, and each day they would pull a card and read the “Idea of the Day” – it could be family movie night, baking Christmas cookies, etc…  So, for Mother’s Day, I have been writing down some memories of my mom, as well as some things about her for which I’m thankful.
