Loved this!! So, I have maple cabinets that are 25 years old. I really like the photo “Source Decorpad” with the stained island with microwave below. I can’t afford to have new cabinets yet I thought the only alternative was painting (white). Not sure if these cabinets can be stained like the photo. Can I get the name of the stain? I prefer having the look of wood, but most stains I see have a red/brown tone and I like the neutral tone of a walnut color. Now to see if I can find a cabinet person who can achieve what I want. Thank you!

I can’t take credit for the work in the photos – just sharing ideas that I found. The paint color on the walls in the photo you referenced is Elephant Skin (I believe it’s a Behr color).

In reply to Dale. Paint retailers can usually do color matches to other brands - Naval (Sherwin Williams) is the PERFECT navy in my opinion!

I am so glad I came across this! I am doing a very small open galley kitchen. The navy blue kitchen is exactly what I’m going for with the cabinets in that color. What color do you think the navy is in Ben Moore?

I loved all your ideas but I didn’t see any bedroom ideas. I have a oak sleigh bed,armoire and dresser. My floors are also rustic oak. The room is huge and I have a layered tray ceiling. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi, I really love your advice on missing painted wood with natural /stained wood. The grey and oak living room is stunning! I have new replacement windows that are white with stained woodwork around the windows, baseboards and doors. I’m not liking it. Any suggestions? Thanks Cindy Barton
