We have had that same Hawthorne set for 3 summers now and it still looks just as great as the day we got it. I ended up getting it in store for 349.00 on clearance…such a steal! Love your blog and especially your book recommendations.

Kitchens have too many moving parts!! Appliances, floors, cabinets. So hard to keep everyone on schedule. Wishing you all the best!!

FYI, cover your new floor with a thick sheet of plastic or paper. Those little bits of cabinets, packaging, or a stepped upon screw will haunt you with scuffs, dents and scratches.

I’ve had good success on marketplace but the trick is definitely to underprice so the buyers rush over to get it before they change their minds. I try for same day pick up or I’ve had people ask me for a non-refundable deposit when I buy something as the buyer is less likely to have a car breakdown, a babysitter quit or go into labour (or any of the other excuses they come up with) before pick up

I haven’t had good luck selling on FB Marketplace, either. My daughter in law belongs to a terrific buy nothing group and that is the way I’ll go in the future.

I know what you mean about FB marketplace. Lately, I’ve been just giving things away to charities that will come pick it up! Thanks for the book recommendation. Even though I have a stack waiting for me to read, I’m always looking for good ones! I read Greenlights recently too although I could imagine how it would be even more entertaining with Matthew narrating it! Enjoy your weekend!
