I have thought about that – my only issue is that I have some trim work below my window in the dining room that isn’t the same style as the board and batten I would like to install! I’m a fan of that look too – just not sure how to do it right!

You could paint it the same as your molding and then a darker color above. I love that look.

I get it on a long flight – but I swear, it happens on even the shortest of flights. God bless you for your work as a flight attendant – that is a ministry all its own! 🙂

I am so with you on the hold up. I won’t race up the aisle, but I can’t stand when people take forever to get their luggage down. I’m back there like, “hey there’s an empty aisle we could be moving down if you weren’t blocking it!” lol. I am the antsy one wanting to get off the plane.

Getting on the plane IS a big deal if you aren’t checking bags and hoping to get some overhead space. There is nothing worse than having 30 minutes added to your departure from the airport because your carefully planned/packed carry-on gets checked at the gate. I’ve had some horribly long wait times at the luggage carousel.

I used to be a flight attendant for 15 years, and here is my take. People can’t possibly sit for any longer. Its is not that they think they are “going somewhere, or getting off the plane that much sooner, but it feels good to finally stand. I get it.

And a new to me problem or maybe I’m not aware – at least 10/15 minutes before the plane landed I heard VERY loud talking. A young lady was having a phone conversation! To the best of my knowledge that is forbidden till on the ground nevermind being held captive to her conversation- and I was THREE rows in front of her! Perhaps the rules have changed but etiquette hasn’t.

Exactly!! And the same people racing to get off the plane are probably the ones first in line to get ON the plane. What’s the hurry to get on the plane? Especially with assigned seats? I will happily be the last one aboard!

Thanks Paula! I’m equally perplexed at the traffic jam of people so eager to get ON the plane. What’s the hurry, especially with assigned seats? Last one on, first one off would be my personal preference. 🙂

And, then they just stand there and wait because the line isn’t moving. This is the first time I’ve heard someone else voice the same question! Your blog is great, keep up the good work!
Thanks,
Paula

If you have a dog, keep those breath mints far out of reach. They contain xylitol which is highly toxic to dogs. I don’t even buy gum anymore that contains xylitol because my dogs are too clever.
