My sister and I brainstormed 60 memories of Mom, printed it with some fun fonts, and then had it matted and framed. She hung it on the wall with all of the family pics.

For my kids, I have done good old fashioned paper chains as a count down. We'll do a pattern (red, green for ex), use stickers, etc-hang them on their bedroom doorknobs and each night they tear one off. It's a great visual to show the passage of time shortening until the impt date.

Good luck on the 1/2 mary. I'm planning to do the Cbus again this fall with friends…this year we can all stay in my new house!
