White is already a good choice as it leaves a clean and fresh feel but black is also beautiful! It creates a lasting impression of elegance that goes well with both simple and complex designs.

The dark door looks really nice, Jenny. Was it your intention to paint just that one door? I really think it's an interesting touch to your home decor. I love it! The color black color is very attractive! Not to mention sophisticated and classy! Also, being a dark color, it won’t easily fade, despite being exposed to so many elements.

Your black door looks fab, Jenny! I love the contrast it gives to that space! And I am soooooooo jealous of your Adirondack chair finds at Goodwill, I have been scouring Craigslist and online yard sales to find a few of them for our (future) fire pit. They look so great in glossy black!! (I think I have a problem with black paint. I just love how it transforms things!)

I love it Jenny but I could also see a fun bold color too! I pinned rich dark gray doors (Chelsea Gray) the other day that someone painted throughout their home and it was so fabulous and such a great idea. I love the vent too! I am all for painting white doors and about to do it myself. Have a great weekend!

I painted the inside of our front door black several years ago and still love it. Now I'm tempted to paint the door to our basement guest suite a turquoise. Just for something different.
