While it can be a tight fit, it should go on. One suggestion you might want to try is to wash it, and air dry it until it’s slightly damp. That seems to give the slipcover a little extra give, to fit on the sofa a bit easier.

I purchased an Arhaus sleeper sofa and love seat from Craigslist. It came with two slip covers. ( both from Ballard)The slipcover for the frame is so tight it is almost impossible to get on. I am not sure if the previous owner shrunk the covers or if this is normal.

i bought the baldwin sofa on craigslist
for $25

the cover is a little worn
and i would love to order a new one
from Ballard
but $300 is not in the budget right now

sadly
i don't live anywhere near
a Ballard outlet store

can you give me an idea
of what the outlet prices run
for the sofa slipcovers?

surely i must know someone
(anyone!)
who lives close enough
to snag one for me

thanks!

I'm thinking of doing the same. Oh…and my name is Jenny, I live in Ohio, I'm a mom to three, I'm a writer (well, now I blog) and I run marathons. Go figure. If you get a chance, can you respond? [email protected] Thanks!

We have a Pottery Barn outlet but would rather have a Ballard Design! Love how the slipcovers look. What a difference they make.

That ceiling gets me every time. I think I remember saying that you should lay on the floor and stare at it right.

I wish I lived closer to a Pottery Barn or Ballard's outlet! Great score on the slipcover and rug!
