this is brilliant! I use the wipe by the door to wipe the cart but never thought to hang onto it. I used to just lick my finger to open the bags but yeah that is toooo gross nowdays!!!

Would probably be more sanitary than wetting one’s finger with moisture from one’s mouth. I usually look for the herbs/vegetables that have moisture and touch them prior to opening a plastic bag, or I’ll ask my husband to open the bag. Lisa at Texas Decor probably has the best solution. In fact, rereading it, it makes the most sense.

Those bags. I fail to remember to grab and rub the bag to open before picking out produce. Many times I don’t use one If it’s something not wet, for instance, bell peppers or apples or tomatoes or ….. they just roll around in my cart all happy. 😁

That card is too funny. I really should look into audible books.

Here’s what I started doing…I keep a pouch of Wet Ones wipes in my purse. I pull one out to wipe the cart handle. Then I just leave the wipe on the grocery cart seat. It’s there if I need to use it to wet my fingers in order to open those pesky bags. Much easier with wet fingers. Lol! I just toss the used wipe in the garbage later.
