Oh my gosh – YES!!! The gender reveal parties are something I just don’t understand. But then, my gender reveal party was when my kids were born. 😉 We never found out what we were having in the first place – I like surprises. 🙂

I am with you on the prom-posals and over the top engagements. Let’s add gender reveal parties and diaper parties for the dads as well. Everything seems to be so over the top these days.

Our book club read Where’d you go Bernadette and LOVED it. There were times I literally laughed out loud. And yes, I am so thankful that for the most part when my girls were in high school the “prom posals” were simple and sweet. I remember our daughter telling us about the prom posals and mums done in Texas when she was at Baylor. Talk about over the top! No pressure.
