I know it’s the fourth day of the week, and I’m only on Day Two of the tour, but bear with me.  I’ll get these tours out to you, I promise.  I’ve been working a lot and it’s HAWT outside.  Try wearing a paint spray suit and a full face respirator (even if it’s cool where I’m working, I sweat like a fiend).  You would think I would be about twenty pounds lighter, but alas no.  Just dehydrated and exhausted.  And my husband has the nerve to complain that the house is too cold…  Put on a sweater, honey.  Mama’s hot.<\/p>\n

House #2 \u2013 The Addington

The second home on the tour is one that caught my eye in terms of the exterior.  I like the contrast between the white and the black trim – very clean looking, very classic.<\/p>\n

Pretty front doors, classic landscaping and a herringbone brick front porch, what’s not to like?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Stairway to the basement, with some cool molding and mirror details, and sharp looking details on the bannister and balusters.<\/p>\n

\"Homearama<\/p>\n

To the left is another rich looking office with the same deep green paint color that I mentioned in the tour from Day One<\/a>.  <\/p>\n

Straight ahead is a great room with beautiful transom windows, wood beams and shelving and a striking chandelier.<\/p>\n

The great room has an open flow to the kitchen and dining area (again, only one dining area, no formal dining room).<\/p>\n

The kitchen is decked out with white cabinets and quartz countertops.<\/p>\n

Is it just me, or are you kind of over the whole farmhouse vibe?  It’s pretty, yes.  But just a bit overdone at this point (just my opinion – I spend too much time in kitchens these days).<\/p>\n

You can access the back patio from the dining area too.  Although I was surprised that these homes didn’t have more land – neighbors are awfully close.<\/p>\n

There is a beautiful master suite with lots of pretty built-ins.<\/p>\n

I liked the master bathroom with a huge shower area (and you can see a peek of a cool bench that was built in to the design).  Great idea.<\/p>\n

Don’t we all need a bench in the bathroom?  And, there is easy access to the laundry room from the master bedroom as well.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the house is this adorable kid’s bedroom.  I love the graphic wallpaper (a cool trend that I noticed this year), darling artwork and a hip light fixture.<\/p>\n

There is a Jack and Jill bathroom that connects it to another bedroom.  But the tile in here bothered me.  I had to reach down and touch it, because it looked like someone had put down grout, but then didn’t wipe up the excess.  But no, that was the intended look of the tile.  Didn’t care for that at all.  If the tile had a “clean” look, I’d take it.<\/p>\n

Let’s hop down to the basement.  A well-equipped media area and entertaining space.<\/p>\n

A great pool table area down here too.  Something for everyone.<\/p>\n

A strange bedroom…  The flower chandelier is just, weird.  But rest assured that the bed doesn’t swing.  It’s somehow bolted down.  But still, it’s odd to me.  And who’s going to dust that thing?<\/p>\n

And there is another bathroom down here with more dirty style tile.   I’m sorry, but that’s just awful.  You can get dirty style tile at my house any day you want, without the faux effects.  All natural<\/em> baby.<\/p>\n

One thing I did love in this house is this cute powder room with graphic wallpaper.  Dirty tile = no.  Graphic wallpaper = yes.<\/p>\n
