Happy Friday!
I hope you’ve had a great week and are ready to cruise into the weekend. Ours will be filled with baseball games!
For this Friday, I’m going to share five things I’m loving, but one thing I’m not. Just to keep it interesting. 🙂
The Search for The New Old House
Did anyone see this article in the Wall Street Journal about building “the new old house”? Historic charm with modern day functionality. Really interesting.
Cinnamon Roll Waffles
These are so easy and so delicious, I find myself stocking up on cinnamon rolls when I go to the grocery store these days. They’re super fast too, which I love. A nice addition to breakfast if you’re in the mood for something sweet.
Garnier Skin Renew 5 Second Blur Skin Smoother
Let me just say that this stuff lives up to its claims – it’s amazing! I’m a big fan of primer by Smashbox, and this stuff feels very similar, but for a third of the price!
Outdoor Fireplaces
We had a landscape architect come out to look at our pond, since we’re looking to replace it with an outdoor fireplace. So, I have fireplaces on the brain.
I got sucked into watching this series, and am hooked. It’s way gory, (which I don’t care for), but the underlying end-of-the-world story is so compelling. It really makes you think about a lot of moral and ethical dilemmas in a completely different context. I’m convinced I’m not made for apocalyptic situations, and wouldn’t have made it beyond season one.
Here is the one thing I’m not liking right now. The song, “Selfie”. I heard it on the radio for the first time this week, and it was stuck in my head for hours. If you haven’t heard it, consider yourself lucky. Me no likey.
So, what’s your 5+1? I’m tagging Cyndy, from The Creativity Exchange, Lisa, from Shine Your Light, and Andrea, from Oak Ridge Revival to give me theirs!

April 13, 2015 at 9:28 pmHow did you go about choosing your landscape architect? Our property is in dire need of landscape updates including a patio, privacy and drainage. It seems like a daunting task to find a reasonable architect just out of a list of many. Do you have any tips on the process? Thanks!
