Hello friends!
I hope you’re having a great week. I have been quickly filling my time, and am “this close” to showing you a kitchen reveal for my friend. It is looking fantastic, and is a testament to the fact that you don’t have to tear out your kitchen to give it a fresh and custom look. I couldn’t be happier with the results – the power of paint never ceases to amaze me. I can’t wait to share it with all of you!
In the meantime, I thought I’d share some great finds that I’ve seen in some of my boutique browsing.
This shop has the most amazing pieces made out of reclaimed wood. I’ve babbled blogged about them before, and each time I go in, I’m captivated by the gorgeous character and richness of the wood. So timeless and unique – stunning!
I so wish I had places to put these finds! I featured one of the islands they had in their store before, but wouldn’t you know it – they had another (equally beautiful) one in there.
Would you just look at the storage?
Another great piece with a baker’s rack feel to it – but not in an outdated way, you know?
The styling is equally beautiful – don’t you love the bowls and how they’re marked as “sugar” and “flour”?
All sorts of outdoor eye candy here…
Clever use of the old door with the window boxes.
Love this monogram – and they do color customization and everything. Notice the cute growth ruler on the right.
Another one of the shops had this clock with a great pop of color. And I’m digging on the contrast between the clock and the buffet below.
Remember the Thrift-a-licious post from last week where I blogged about similar tables at different price points? Lo and behold, I found another one in a fun Annie Sloan chalk paint no less. (Did I mention that I bought a couple of quarts?)
This lavender dresser had me at hello. Between the color, the stencil and the glass knobs, there was no use in trying to resist.
And the trip wouldn’t be complete without stopping at the Fabric Shack. I’m a smitten kitten for this fabric, and I’m thinking it will be a great addition in Kelly’s kitchen…
Have a wonderful day!

April 18, 2013 at 1:54 pmI want to take a roadtrip and go shopping with you – that would be oh so fun! I love your finds – that island is so awesome!! Wish I could do something like that in my future kitchen but I need to incorporate a dishwasher and sink into the island. I'll have to figure out another place for something rustic. It adds so much character to a space!

April 18, 2013 at 2:58 pmLisa, I'll bet we would have a blast shopping together, and I suspect we would get along like old friends. I'm sure your kitchen remodel will be amazing, and I can't wait to see what you pull together!

April 19, 2013 at 8:17 pmYou can achieve a classic look in a house with those furniture! I’m thinking of renovating my office into a place that’s kinda classical, and by now I can visualize what I have to buy. I’m excited for the redo and I hope you can tell me some spots where I could find the furniture. Thanks, Jenny! 😀
