Four Kitchens Before Thanksgiving

Hello friends!

I apologize for the radio silence since my One Room Challenge Reveal, but with the holidays approaching, people want to spruce up their homes, and I’m working overtime on kitchens right now.  As in four kitchens before Thanksgiving.  Complete insanity, and it’s not exactly how I planned.  Suffice to say schedule delays that are out of control are the bane of my business existence.  So, how about a sneak peek at what I’ve been doing?  Did I mention I’m hosting Thanksgiving and my house looks like we abandoned it in a rush for a natural disaster?

I’m spraying one of the kitchens, and the homeowner had a carpenter come in and add some trim work around the island and crown molding to the upper cabinets.  It’s going to be gorgeous when it’s finished, but oh my, the prep.  Not for the faint of heart.  And yes, those are beams that I had to tape off along the ceiling.

Spraying a Kitchen

This isn’t the first kitchen that I’ve sprayed over the past month – there’s this one too.  This is the BEFORE.  The homeowner was tired of the yellowy-cream color, and wanted something crisp and white.  They’re also taking down the wallpaper and adding a backsplash.

A peek at the (almost) finished product.  Waiting on hardware, and I’m also spraying a new range hood.

Then there’s this makeover in progress – the homeowners have already updated the island and added new quartz countertops and a backsplash.  I’m refreshing the cabinets.

And finally, this kitchen for an adorably sweet Italian couple who moved to the US from Italy two years ago.

Thankfully, two of my kitchen clients took down their cabinets and are reinstalling them, (for a discount), so at least I have that on my side, right?

Thanks for hanging in there with me.  Looking forward to taking a break once these jobs are done!

Have a GREAT day!

Jenny

Oh my word Jenny! You are one busy lady. I know they all appreciate you and the time you’ve put in. They are going to be amazing as always. Praying you get some much needed rest and can put your feet up soon.

Have you ever opted to spray paint inside the cabinets as well? I painted my cabinets once and I was never too thrilled with the final color. I want to try it again, but the 1st time I painted the inside of my white cabinets the too yellow cream from the front. I added a brown wash to the front, but not inside. Now I want to paint them a warm white but it will leave me with a yellowy-cream on the inside. I thought I would go the spray gun route this time and do both inside and out. Yes, I hand brushed them the 1st time. I’m crazy.

I have only sprayed the inside of cabinets when I do a cabinet that has glass doors. Otherwise, I leave them alone.
