Hello!
I hope you’ve had a great week. I’ve been working on a huge client kitchen, and my body feels like it’s about 80 years old! It’s going to be gorgeous though – I can’t wait to share it with you!
Let’s roll with this week’s Friday 5+1! This post contains some affiliate links.
Repurposing Cabinets
I’ll give you a sneak peek at one of the changes the homeowner implemented in the kitchen I’m currently working on, that I think you’ll appreciate as much as I do. In the original design, there was a desk. Now a desk always sounds like a good idea, but in reality, they seem to be a clutter magnet. At least that’s how it was in our first house, when we had a desk.
They did a little cabinet shuffling and had a carpenter come in and trim it all out, so it looks like this now. (They’re going to add a wood countertop as well). I’m loving it.
Arbonne Muscle Cream
With all of the work that I’ve been doing, like I said, I feel like I’m about 80 years old, with achy joints and muscles. This Arbonne muscle cream has been my best friend. I discovered it years ago when I was marathon training, and I haven’t used anything else since.
Peel and Stick Glass Tile
Saw this at Menard’s recently. I’ve seen some peel and stick tile before, but but never like this. Interesting, don’t you think?
Hand Masker Dispenser – My “Paper Taper”
This contraption is called a Hand Masker Dispenser, but I like to call it my “Paper Taper”. I picked one of these up awhile back, and finally started using it, and am kicking myself for not using it sooner. It’s great for taping off walls, appliances, portions of the floor, and the insides of cabinets when I’m spraying and don’t want the problem of overspray. I guess it’s a paint geek thing.
But believe me, they’re a godsend when you’re taping off a kitchen like this one.
Nantucket Style Homes
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this already, but it’s worth sharing again. This is the house next door to the kitchen I’m working on, and I love it. Such a classic look, and not at all typical of what you find around here. I guess that’s part of why I like it so much. 🙂
What’s not to love, right?
My +1 for the week – Sick Husbands.
Sound familiar to anyone else? Surely it can’t be just me… 😉
Have a great weekend! I’m off to the Country Living Fair today!

September 19, 2015 at 12:11 amOh my, a sick husband is the absolute worst. How a man can complain about a common cold in such a way that you're concerned he might die is beyond me. Hopefully, he will recover quickly and be ready, willing, and able to meet your every need when you come down with the same ailment. We all know that you will catch it! Can't wait to see the finished kitchen!!!
