One Dresser, Five Ways + House Stalking Preview

Hello!

I am back after a lovely scrapbooking weekend away with a great group of girls.  We make the trip every year, and spend time being creative and pulling together family photos.  I know many people have gone digital, but I still love the hands on approach, and our accommodations were off the hook!  This is where we got to work:

Seriously unbelievable.  Such a great weekend of creativity and pampering.  If you’re looking for a great place to getaway and get your creative juices flowing, check out Inspiration Inn Bloom.  I can’t wait to go back again next year.

Back to reality.  Last week I shared a craigslist dresser that has now gotten two makeovers, and I thought I would take it another step further and give you this one dresser, with three different looks.  Just to show you how a little bit of styling can completely change the look and feel of the piece and the room as a whole.

I shared this look last week, and I really liked the neutral palette overall, and how the artwork and styling pieces all tied together with the colors of the dresser.  Better yet, these are all pieces that I picked up from shopping my own home.  Nothing new in any of these different looks!

Of course, it’s a process to get to a finished look, and along the way, there are certainly other options that could be emulated.

Subtle differences, and at the end of the day, it’s all a matter of personal taste.

If the neutral look isn’t your thing, you can always lighten it up a bit, with a more coastal feel.

By swapping out the lamp for one with aqua colored glass, and adding the clock, the vibe is more simple, casual and coastal.  The artwork also lends itself to a lighter and brighter feel.

You can change the look and the function of this piece by simply adding a wood tray and setting it up for a party.

Pay no attention to the girl in the hat reflected in the clock. 😉

So, do you have a favorite look?  Do you switch things up with the seasons?

I’m also working on my first post for my “House Stalking” series and can’t wait to share it with you!  Here is a glimpse of what’s to come – I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Have a great day!
