Happy Friday!
Ok, so you already know that I’m a real estate stalker, but I’m also a bit of a paint stalker. There are so many different kinds, lines and uses, as an avid painting DIYer, I’m always intrigued.
Let’s start with Jeff Lewis’ new line of paint that is now available through Home Depot. My friend, and fellow paint stalker, Cyndy, from The Creativity Exchange, first introduced me to his new line of paints, and broke the story that he was bringing his line of paints to Home Depot.

So, what does a paint stalker do? She goes to Home Depot to check it out.
I was really excited to see these gorgeous colors up close and personal. He has lots of beautiful hues in his collection – shades of gray, blue, green and brown, that all work together seamlessly.

I marched into Home Depot and made a beeline to the paint section, asking the paint girl where I could find the Jeff Lewis line. You can imagine my disappointment when gave me a blank look and then directed me to the aisle of paint cans, indicating these were all of the brands they carried. However, there were no cans labeled as “Jeff Lewis”. Boo.
It turns out that his line is available through Home Depot, but it’s online. Come on, Home Depot, throw us paint stalkers a bone. At least offer a fan deck or some paint sample chips that I can touch and feel and hug.
I’m hoping they’ll eventually bring some of Jeff Lewis’ painting goodness in-house, but in the meantime, I’m thinking I might need to order a paint deck. While I mull that over, I signed up to receive a free color card. Check out Jeff Lewis Color for yourself!
The other paint line that got me into a tizzy, was Liz Marie Blog’s Facebook discovery of Devine Paints at Target. Along with coordinating repositionable wallpaper.
Say what?

Again, I went into paint stalker mode, having to see this paint goodness with my own eyes.
I searched our local Target high and low, but couldn’t find it anywhere. Disappointed, I left the store empty handed (which is a miracle in and of itself, as my husband will attest). While sitting in my car, I started googling Devine Paints and Target, and came upon an article that indicated that these paints were available in all Target stores, nationwide.
What does a paint stalker do? She goes back into Target and barrages asks customer service about their new paint line, showing him the article that she found. He hasn’t heard of it, but looks scared and gets on his walkie-talkie asking another Target employee about it. The guy at the other end of the walkie talkie chrips back, and gives him the aisle coordinates – C24, on the end.
And there it was:
I was a bit bummed that we didn’t have the same selections as Liz Marie’s Target, but at least they had something! Great colors and lovely packaging too. Surprisingly, the “Primrose Red” gallons of paint were gone. (I say surprisingly, because I haven’t noticed red as a really popular/trendy color lately). But, what do I know?
Plus, if you want more colors, you can always go online to purchase them.
Target doesn’t disappoint, do they? Of course, I had to peruse their aisles to see what other great things they have on the shelves.
Some lovely rustic wood roped accessories.
Bold and springy home goods.
I love the patterns on these squishy kitchen floor mats. Aren’t they pretty?
And I can’t leave without checking out their tablecloth section, since it’s such a great fabric source for things like no sew, faux roman shades. Isn’t this one pretty?
Or this one, with more saturated hues.
And have you seen these adorable gift wrap ideas? So fun, fresh and cheap! What a great way to spice up a gift and make it look custom.
Loads of colors and choices available at your fingertips! I picked up the blue/green ones.
Are you a paint stalker too? Or maybe just a Target stalker? Perhaps I need a 12-Step Program of some sort. Nah, I don’t have a problem…

April 4, 2014 at 1:36 pmThanks for sharing! I hadn't heard of either of the paints. And, our Target was just getting all their new goodies in, but they definitely nailed it this spring.

April 4, 2014 at 4:58 pmI did the same thing at Home Depot. I was so bummed. Who buys their paint online? No thanks. I hope they end up carrying it in store too. I also love me some Target. Love all the new stuff you showed.

April 5, 2014 at 11:57 amThat is CRAZY about the Jeff Lewis paint being sold online only. I need to go into a store, get my paint, and have instant gratification. I can't imagine they will do well selling it online only. Thank you for stalking on behalf of the rest of us crazy painters out there!
