Hello!
I hope you’re having a great holiday weekend, and knocking some items off your gift list in the process. With it being Small Business Saturday, I thought I’d share some great gift finds from small shops. I love what small businesses bring to the table – lots of unique, off-the-beaten path types of items that you just don’t find everywhere. And in order to keep them in business, we need to support them, right?
Check out these adorable stockings from Good Wishes Quilts? I’ve never seen anything like these before – they would be perfect to hang on our mantel for our family of five. Absolutely darling.
A chunky infinity scarf from Remembering Madeira – plus they’re offering 20% off through Monday using the code BLACKFRIDAY15. This scarf is $35, so the extra 20% off makes it an even better deal.
And look at all of the color options!
A sweet embroidered necklace with a custom initial from The Merriweather Council – again, you don’t see these in regular stores. That’s what keeps me coming back to small businesses – whether they’re online or a typical storefront.
In a world of instant gratification, I have to share some artwork that is available via instant download. I’ve purchased items like this and had them printed up at my local office supply store on heavy cardstock (or on the other end of the spectrum, I have done the large engineered prints as well), and they are a great way to inject some holiday fun to your home for a very low price.
Whether I’m in a shop or at a festival, that’s where you usually find the best pottery. I’m loving these
bright and charming pet bowls from
j clay pottery– not that it would keep my dogs from eating each other’s food or anything, but it’s worth a try, right?
I might have to make another visit to
Fleurish Home for Small Business Saturday – when they carry whimsical items like this salt and pepper shaker, how am I to resist? Seriously, I could do my whole house in the car/tree motif this year I love it so much!
Do you have a favorite small business – online or storefront – that you’re going to support this Saturday?
