2010 was a year full of changes. And when I say full, I mean FULL – my husband changed firms, the kids changed schools, we moved into a new house, even got a new dog! I’m hoping that 2011 brings peace in the most basic of ways. Settling into our new house, feeling less crazed and more centered, getting back to a more basic day-to-day life, if that makes sense. And with this newfound peace, my goal is to post more to my blog, as I have a lot of projects on the docket.
Here is a little taste of what I’m working on now. Yes, we started this project LATE on December 23rd, and were up until almost 3 AM – completely lost track of time. So, we were completely exhausted over the Christmas holiday, but it’s looking good!
Here is a preview…
Ignore the Clifford the Big Red Dog stuffed animal and sneaker on the floor – I was scrambling for some “Before” shots |
My hubby stepping in to do the cuts – using his early Christmas gift – a nail gun with air compressor |
Boards are hung, priming and painting left to be done |
I’m jumping on the board and batten bandwagon. This is just the first of three spaces that we’ve been working on. So, I’m heading off to a good start at sharing home projects in 2011, right?
Wishing you a peaceful 2011!
Jenny
