2017 Girlfriend’s Gift Guide

I love putting together gift guides each year, and this year I polled my girlfriends for some of their favorites, because who do you trust when it comes to gift ideas?  I know that my girls are my go-to group for all sorts of things, and they are definitely in tune to some things that I’m not, and vice versa.  So it’s a win-win, right?  We’ll just call this year’s list a Girlfriend’s Gift Guide.  Items that we love and/or want that you might find useful. 🙂  It’s hard to choose, so I’ve narrowed it down to some of my favorite goodies.  This post contains some affiliate links.

2017 Gift Guide with ideas from my girlfriends!

1. Merrell Haven Softshell Jacket

I have one of these Merrell softshell jackets (not this exact one, but very similar), and I’ve had it for more years than I can count.  It’s become my jacket for all seasons, and I’ve ditched a heavy coat in the winter altogether in favor of this one.  It’s lightweight, but waterproof, warm, a great length, and it even has a hood.  I get compliments on it year after year – along with my Merrell boots.  Love Merrell.

2. OPI Gift Set

Who doesn’t love OPI when it comes to nail polish?  This OPI gift set gives you the high shine and durability of a gel manicure, but comes off like regular nail polish.  Win.

3. Bose Wireless Headphones

I’ve always been a Bose fan, and have a pair of Bose headphones myself (although not wireless).  I’ve shared their bluetooth speaker (and I love the carrying case too, since I take it with me when I work) in gift guides of Christmas past – great sound, great battery life, easy to carry around with you – love it.  For my oldest son’s birthday this year, we got him some Bose wireless headphones, and he told me that he loves them.  The sound is better than any of the headphones he’s had before, and the battery life is awesome.  Coming from a 19 year-old, I take that as an endorsement. 🙂

4. TRX Training Kit

One of my girlfriends is getting this TRX Training Kit for her husband.  If you’ve ever done a TRX workout, you know that it’s no joke.  It’s crazy how many different (and challenging) exercises you can do from this little set of innocent looking straps.  Great to use at home, or even while traveling.

5. Bobbi Brown Makeup Brushes

Years ago, my husband treated me to a Bobbi Brown makeup splurge, and these makeup brushes were part of it.  I still have them and use them today.  They’re amazing, and this set is great for the basics.

6. Orla Kiely Big Print Wallet

You all know I’m a fan of a big wallet, and this cute print on a big wallet makes it even cuter.  Not to mention, easy to find in my big purse.  Lots of cute print options too.

7. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

One of my girlfriends works for a major cosmetic/skin care company, so I consider her an authority on all things beauty and skin care related.  She said that she tried this Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, and put it on her Christmas list, hoping Santa will bring it.  She also loves the Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lipstick.

8. Faux Fur Vests

In the style department, faux fur vests were also on my girlfriend’s gift list.  One of my friends has an oldie but a goodie that she still wears.  And there are lots of great options out there.  You can find a great selection here, but I’m also loving this simple black one that would go with just about anything.

9. Slipsilk Pillow Case

My girlfriend who is up on all of the cool styles and trends shared this Slipsilk Pillow Case as something she’d love to try.  The reviews are great, and it’s touted as an “anti-aging, anti-sleep crease, anti-bed head pillowcase by slip for beauty sleep is like an eight-hour beauty treatment every night.”  Hmmmm, I’m intrigued.  The gift for the girl on your list who is hard to buy for, but appreciates nice things.

10.  Plaid Scarf

If you see me in the cooler weather, I’m willing to bet that I’ll be wearing a scarf.  It’s one of my cold weather staples, and I can’t get enough of them.  What’s not to like in a plaid scarf for the winter?  I’ll take a couple, please. 🙂

So there you have it – I love getting ideas from my girls.  After all, who do you usually ask when you’re looking for a product or gift recommendation?  My girlfriends never disappoint!

What’s on your list this year?  What do your girlfriends want for Christmas?

thank you Jenny, I will take 1 of each. I just gave myself my very first Christmas gift, told my husband and I went for it, a piece of Staub bake ware, enameled cast iron dutch oven. She is big, she is heavy, but good gosh she is a beauty. Also want the new IPad 5th generation tablet, the 32gb is supposed to be 250.00 at several places beginning good Friday, I hope it is online, not going to go out there on Black Friday with all the yahoos! Thanks

I just can’t even deal with people and shopping anymore, you know? Online is soooo nice. Not sure how I managed to brave the crowds like I did in the past! I could use a new iPad – I got a Mac a couple of years ago, so I use it a lot, but I used to use our old iPad all the time!
