Happy Friday Friends!
I am starting to get into a mini-panic mode now that we’re rolling into November and the holidays are just. around. the corner. Every year I vow to lower the stress level, but it just doesn’t seem to happen.
Let’s get to this week’s picks, shall we? This post contains some affiliate links.
The Piper Art Bag from Jean Oliver Designs
I’m a big fan of Jean Oliver’s blog to begin with, but this bag was too cute not to share. Granted, it’s an art bag, and I’m not an artist, but I still think it’s a beautiful bag and I could use it regardless of my non-artist status. Check it out here.
Self Drilling Wall Anchors
I’m getting ready to hang some long shelves in my daughter’s room, and these self-drilling wall anchors are on my list in order to install them. They are the best wall anchors I’ve ever used, and make fast and easy work of what can be a really annoying process. No drilling a hole in the wall, hammering in the wall anchor (if it fits). Usually it ends up bending in half, and I go back to square one. Lather, rinse, repeat.
You just screw them in with your power drill/screwdriver, and you’re done.
The Letter
The Letter is my newest favorite audiobook. I’m on an(other) audiobook bender, and this one I couldn’t stop listening to once I started. The story is layered and compelling, and the narration is fantastic. If you’re an audiobook listener, you know narration is important. 😉
Of course, you could just read the book if you’d like, but I love listening while I’m working around the house or driving kids around town.
All Things Paint
I’m a contributor at The Creativity Exchange, and wanted to make sure you saw my latest color spotlight. It’s Chelsea Gray by Benjamin Moore. I just love this color, always have. Especially against a crisp white – timeless! Take a look here.
I also shared my experience with General Finishes Milk Paint – it’s great stuff, and I’ve been using it for more and more projects lately. Classic colors (that you can mix), and it lays out beautifully.
The Scrapbox Workbox
Now, I’m a scrapbooker, but even if you’re not, you can appreciate the Scrapbook Workbox. For the organizational wonderland that it is, if nothing else. Amazing!
My +1 for the week – my “maintenance required” light going on in my car when it’s practically brand new. They’re just trying to get me in the shop – nothing is wrong. It came on right at 5,000 miles.
Have a fantastic weekend and a safe Halloween!

October 30, 2015 at 1:13 pmI love reading your 5/1 posts!
Your car probably just feels it needs an oil change/tire rotation. Mine comes on like that too. Crazy!
I am a scrapbooker too! Would love that Scrapbox! Do you have one?

November 3, 2015 at 6:39 pmTimely review of wall anchors. I've used the plastic screw-in type before for a floor-to-ceiling shelf install in a closet for bins full of craft supplies without any shelves falling. But my dad installed a shelf, put a lamp on it, and the shelf pulled out out of the wall (and broke the lamp and some glass shelves sitting below). He used a different type of anchor. So I'm going to buy these and install the shelf myself.
