Hello!
I hope you’re having a great week – it’s definitely been a scorcher here this week, but I’m not complaining, as this is the first true heat wave we’ve had all summer.
Am I alone in the love for minty fresh furniture pieces and touches of it in my wardrobe as well? I keep seeing little pops of mint, and would love to figure out a way to incorporate it in my home is some way, shape or form. It’s so retro, but still modern at the same time. However, it needs to be well balanced and the right shade, so that it doesn’t read “hospital room”, you know?
This is exactly what I’m talking about with mint giving a modern-retro vibe. The checkerboard floors, sink and light fixtures all complete the look.
Splashes of mint also add to a light and fresh feeling in a room. This island is just the right touch.
You could go all in, and paint your cabinets as well.
I love this accent wall. Such a small detail, but such a big impact!
Again, small detail, painting the back of a cabinet – great contrast for brightly colored accessories.
Mint green is also a color that plays well with others. I love the pops of pink and coral in this darling girl’s room.
Mint + Yellow? Yes, please. If that wallpaper doesn’t look vintage, I don’t know what does.
Just a hint of mint – the tile, the plates and glassware. Lovely!
I love this kitchen. It’s so bright and welcoming – look, the door is even open, waiting for me to come over for a morning cup of coffee.
Or add it as a painted bead board detail.
It’s all in the accessories.
A splash on the door – why not?
I would love to have a kitchen that could pull off a vintage mint refrigerator.
Or, I could settle for a white vintage fridge, with a checkerboard floor and a mint accent wall (and vintage wall clock).
Are you loving this color as much as I am? Have you incorporated it into your home – in some way – big or small?

July 18, 2013 at 12:56 pmWow – that's quite the roundup of mint green – it really is everywhere right now isn't it?! I like mint in small doses – but it does give these rooms a fresh, bright quality that is appealing.

July 18, 2013 at 3:35 pmI'm loving your inspiration pictures. I'm so tired of all white everywhere you look these days. I'd gladly welcome a little of that minty color in my house. You've got me thinking.

July 19, 2013 at 6:09 pmToo pale for me… the only ones I really like are the ones paired with black, such as the checkered tile floor. I'm still loving bolder colors, but maybe pale is a new trend?
