Hello!
One nice thing about where I live is that I have some great outlets that are just a short car ride away from home. That said, I don’t get to visit them nearly as often as I’d like. But, over the past couple of weeks, I squeezed in a couple of trips to Pottery Barn Outlet and Ballard Designs Outlet.
One thing about outlet shopping – you never know what you’re going to find, and sometimes the outlet prices aren’t really that outlet-y. I will say, that over the years, I’ve gotten great deals at both Pottery Barn and Ballard – which is why I keep going back for more!
Pottery Barn definitely manages to deliver when it comes to providing beautiful vignettes that lure you in for more.
There were some pretty furniture pieces, and West Elm seems to have a corner of this store as well. Again, pretty – but not as outlet-y as one would hope.
I love this ottoman!
And another elegant one here.
Pretty red chairs (I want to say they were $169 – I need to take better notes on prices.) According to the Pottery Barn website, they’re $269, so this is a pretty good deal by comparison.
These chairs really caught my eye.
I spotted some orange hues and some fall pieces as well.
Gigantic lampshades anyone?
Ok, this one was a deal. Super sharp sconce.
For a cool $19.97. But I could only find one.
Love these side tables.
And more beautiful styling!
And now for Ballard. They ebb and flow in terms of their inventory, but boy, oh boy, did they have a lot on the floor when I stopped in! I wish I would have snapped more photos, but I had all three of my kids with me (slapping forehead with palm).
The great thing about Ballard, was that just about everything had an additional discount.
A similar table to what I saw at Pottery Barn Outlet.
With a close up of the price (and I suspect with all of the sales, that there would be an additional discount).
Loads of lighting with an additional 30% off too. I almost bought that hot pink lamp shade tucked in the back on that bottom shelf. It would have been about $40 with the 30% off – and it was a good size.
Love those gray shades, don’t you?
Some beautiful lamps too.
Oodles of dinnerware…
And glassware…
Pretty trays and baskets too.
They had tons of great office furniture and bar stools too. Again, sorry for the lack of pictures on those – next time I’ll leave the kids at home. 😉
Have you been outlet shopping lately? Did you find any great deals?

July 24, 2013 at 12:25 pmWow, what great resources, we don't have either of those, but maybe that's a good thing! 🙂

July 24, 2013 at 12:53 pmHow lucky that you have both of these outlets nearby!!! What a great resource when you're working on a room. I find that the outlets are not always inexpensive. We have a premium outlet mall within 10 minutes of our house, but no PB or Ballards :(. We do have a Williams Sonoma that sometimes gets PB textiles, and there's a Restoration Hardware there too…..but it's so pricey! Tons of fun to window shop though, and for pillows and lamps.

July 24, 2013 at 3:47 pmSo many gorgeous items for sale. We have both outlets nearby, but I've only shopped at PB. I need to make a visit to BD. Thanks for sharing your shopping trip.

July 24, 2013 at 8:08 pmSpeaking of those metal chairs, have you seen the knock off ones at target? They come in three colors and they are sold two for $99.

July 25, 2013 at 2:03 amYour PB outlet has a lot more stuff than the one I go to. That round table with the spots on it was at my HomeGoods today. Weird.

July 25, 2013 at 11:27 pmI've only been to the Ballard Outlet once, but I stuffed all I could in my suitcase! Was wishing I didn't have to get on a plane to get home. 🙂 Also get to rarely visit PB, but I've never found any great deals there. I suppose you would have to be close enough to visit very often to snatch up any great deals!

July 29, 2013 at 11:55 amGreat post, Jenny. I do love that Ballard Outlet. I haven't been to the PB outlet in a while, but it looks like a trip is in order soon.

November 16, 2013 at 2:09 amLucky you with such scrumptious shopping so handy. Enjoyed seeing all the photos of great stuff in both stores, drool. All those incidental staging goodies, among so many others.
Oh my, such temptation, good thing there aren't any outlets of any kind close to us. At least that I'm aware of.
This side (western slope it's called) of Rockies seems to be a bit lacking in shopping opportunities. After living in San Diego years ago I've had to wean myself from great shopping. At least when we lived outside Bowling Green, KY there were outlets in driveable distances on way up to Indianapolis or into Cincinnati, loved going across bridge from Louisville, KY to Cincinnati. Lots of places were close when we lived in KY and awesome shopping, vintage stuff. Wishing you and yours Happy Thanksgiving
Enjoy it for me, lame person without the great shopping. Grand Junction does have a Herbergers, TJ Maxx, Jo-Ann's, Michaels and Hobby Lobby. The last 3 especially usually get what little disposable cash I ever have, lol.
