Happy Holiday Weekend!
In honor of the July 4th holiday, I thought it would be fun to look at some homes and rooms that incorporate this color trifecta. I went through my own “red phase” at one point, and looking back, I don’t think I did it justice (think red accent walls). But, at the time, I was really digging it. I’m finding now, that I like red in smaller doses.
Let’s take a look!
Who doesn’t love a red front door? Especially when it’s the perfect shade of tomato red.
Again, here is red done right. Just some pops of red, mixed in with another fun fabric. Love it.
I’m a smitten kitten with this room. It’s such a great balance of red, white and blue, without being over the top, you know?
A red kitchen island! So daring, but so well done. And the window treatment – awesome.
Another red done right look. Love the dresser and the mirror, combined with all of the other great pops of color in this space.
Red and aqua really work well together, don’t they?
This is one of my favorites. The red couch is perfect in this room – the whole space is so fresh and inviting, don’t you think? There are so many elements to this room that I adore (did you catch that front door?) It just feels like a welcoming place to be.
Fresh and fun. And the wood tones in this space make it rich at the same time. Look at the deep stain on the door to the right – perfection.
What a stunning built-in! Go blue or go home!
Fantastic mix of fabrics and textures in here. The gallery wall is awesome too – so simple and classic.
Bold in it’s own right, but it totally works, don’t you think? Check out the ceiling. Love this look.
Isn’t this island amazing? It really anchors the room and totally works in such a vast space.
I could ogle rooms like this for hours – such great possibilities with red, white and blue, don’t you think?
Have a safe and happy 4th of July holiday!

July 6, 2013 at 1:06 pmThere's no denying that a bit of red really gives room life. It used to be my signature color – I had a little bit in every room, but as I look around I realize I don't have ANY red in my current house. I think I need to bring in a little pop of it somewhere! Hope you had a great 4th Jenny! Thanks for all the eye candy this morning.
