An Unconventional Source for Holiday Gift Giving + A Giveaway

I’m sure you all have someone on your list who has everything or is difficult to shop for in general.  If you’re in the market for an unconventional gift or something extra special, I have a great gift source for you – Everything But the House.  They are an online estate auction site presenting sales based out of Cincinnati, Lexington, Louisville, Columbus,
Indianapolis and Nashville, and you’ll discover all sorts of great treasures that you won’t find in a traditional retail store.

I’m a regular stalker browser of  I’ve bid on some items, and I like “following” items that catch my eye, because you never know – there might be a great deal that you’ll have to grab if the opportunity presents itself.  This is a recent piece that I just fell in love with immediately.

Is that not the coolest thing you’ve seen in awhile?  It’s a 19th century postal cabinet.  Gorgeous.  I’m thinking I could be uber-organized if I had one of these with all of its slots and drawers.

I also had my eyes on these lovelies:

If anyone is stumped for a Christmas gift for me, feel free to shop EBTH and pick up a cute bag like this cute little Kate Spade number:

Or, if you feel like I’ve been extra good this year, you could pick up a pair of these:

Just sayin’…

My husband is a tough one to buy for during the holiday season since he really doesn’t need anything.  He’s an avid golfer, so I was thrilled to discover this framed print of Jack Nicklaus at the British Open up for auction.

I placed my bid, and I won it for a great price – $85 – framed and everything!

It found a home in my husband’s office at work (disclaimer: his photo, not mine):

Here is your chance to win a $75 credit to Everything But The House!  I hope you discover some beautiful items for those hard-to-buy-for people on your holiday list!

Oh My – my husband would have loved the Jack Nicklaus framed photo – especially since we had the opportunity to stand on that same bridge on the Old Course at St. Andrews. I found a white wicker chair with a comfy cushion look that would be perfect for our screened porch at the beach….
